About WILD SOS

Project Funding Scope

​

Funding scope includes projects to help nature that directly assist wildlife and/or ecosystems across Australia or Internationally, including those that:

​

  • Pilot innovative technology or programs with the potential to deliver significant long-term positive impacts for wildlife and/or the environment;

​

  • Implement (post successful pilot and/or proven scientific research findings) applied research to deliver radically improved long-term nature positive outcomes;

​​

  • Launch or expand science-led programs to improve long-term outcomes for specific terrestrial or marine species, specific regions e.g. reefs or rainforests, or specific ecosystems;

​​

  • Implement recommendations from science-based species recovery plans to save threatened species from extinction;

​​

  • Implement projects to scientifically reduce risk to wildlife and the environment, including increasing and protecting quality wildlife habitat, mitigating climate change impacts, and reducing waste/pollution;

​

  • Implement projects to scientifically improve post-disaster recovery;

​​

  • Initiate and expand projects that improve social and economic outcomes for communities linked to delivering improved sustainable long-term outcomes for wildlife and the environment.
